My current work involves early stage sustainable design which includes performing conceptual analysis using Sefaira, doing sunlight and daylight studies, facade design for Part L compliance and writing Energy Strategy Reports. I also carry out LEED Energy Modelling to ASHRAE 90.1 2010 using IES VE for projects going for LEED certification and advise and the most cost effective means to achieve the desired rating. I also manage the workload of a number of engineers in the Sustainable Engineering Group. Current projects include the Velasco building, 8 Hanover Quay, 76 Sir John Rogersons Quay, 5-7 Hanover Plaza, Microsoft One Campus, National Rehabilitation Hospital, National Children's Hospital Satellite centres, NPRO Cork, numerous student accommodation projects and office fit-out projects.
