Kate Spina brings almost two decades of experience working with food as a chef, hospitality consultant and nutritionist. She has a passion for good food and its powerful role in preventive health.
Kate has extensive experience working in fine-dining kitchens, creating menus and recipes for dietary requirements, branding events with food and consulting for health-focused eateries. Early in her cooking career, she represented her state as the NSW Slow Food Chef championing local, ethical and sustainable food production.
More recently, Kate added nutrition qualifications to her culinary skills giving her a unique perspective on healthy eating. This enhances both her private nutrition practice and her corporate client consultancy.
For the past three years, she has been the in-house nutritionist/chef for Food Rascal, a progressive boutique caterer and food consulting company. With Food Rascal, Kate played a significant role in implementing the Nourishment standard as part of Lendlease’s Tower Three WELL Certification in Sydney.
